Vicar-In-Charge:
Father Richard Bastable
Father Richard assumed the distinguished role of Priest-in-Charge at St. Matthew's in October 2021, bringing with him a distinguished background originating from Worcestershire.
Father Richard's erudition in theology was honed at venerable institutions including Exeter and Cambridge. In a testament to his ecclesiastical dedication, he diligently fulfilled curacies in both Ruislip and Holborn.
Since 2013, he has presided as Vicar at St. Luke's W12, seamlessly harmonising this responsibility with his ministry at St. Matthew's.
Beyond his pastoral duties, Fr. Richard finds deep fulfillment in the realms of art, music, and the exploration of the wider world.


Assistant Curate:
Father Stephen Miller
Father Stephen Miller is a dedicated Assistant Curate, holding a 2019 BA in Theology from York St John University. He honed his skills as a Pastoral Assistant at St. Michael's Croydon from 2019 to 2020.
He trained for the priesthood at St. Stephen's House, Oxford, culminating in an MA (Dunelm). On the 2nd of July 2022, Father Stephen was ordained as a deacon by Bishop Jonathan, receiving a license to serve at St. Luke's and St. Matthew's.
In 2023, Father Stephen was ordained as a priest on the 2nd of July. His commitment to spiritual guidance extends to the RAF Air Cadets, where he will serve as Padre to 342 (Ealing and Brentford) from the summer of 2023.
In his spare time, Father Stephen pursues his interests model railways and collecting ecclesiastical antiques.
